The J K Guest Group recently became a sponsorship partner with the Wigan Warriors Rugby League team for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. The two year deal will see the J K Guest name on both the players and replica shirts.

Speaking about the new sponsorship deal, Jon Guest Group Chairman added:

Europe’s First Dedicated Utility Mapping Training Facility

JCB World Headquarters recently played host to an exciting and informative event where the announcement of the construction of Europe’s first dedicated utility mapping training facility was unveiled.

The J K Guest Group, The Kier Group and Mapping the Underworld (MTU) invited people from across the construction industry to the event which outlined in detail the training school currently under construction.

The facility will provide training to Utility Mapping Surveyors, site based managers and vacuum excavation operatives. It will also provide a test bed facility for MTU and equipment manufacturers.

As part of continual efforts to improve health and safety throughout our civil engineering activities, the management team at J K Guest has recently developed the Safety Bullet.

The Safety Bullet concept involves the issue to all company employees, a heavy impact resistant USB flash drive for the storage of work related training qualifications and certification. These details can be easily viewed by site management teams, ensuring that all J K Guest site operatives are competent and qualified for the work tasks to be undertaken.

We feel this is such an important and practical safety initiative that it has been incorporated into our 2010 Health and Safety Policy procedures.
