Site Surveys & Markings
Accurate marking of services and utilities, following utility mapping and trial pit excavations, saves time, money and most importantly saves lives.
Following excavations, J K Guest provide our clients with trial pit data sheets and site photographs, along with detailed location plans.
Each trial pit will have a separate data sheet detailing size, type and depth of each service located within the pit.
Once backfilled, the trial pits will also be surfaced marked using both spray paint and also colour coded markers which will be fixed to the surface showing utility type, direction and depth.
These markings provide a safe guard in the event the relevant data sheets issued by J K Guest are for some reason unavailable to the operatives actually carrying out the mechanical excavation as part of their site activities. Whilst still on site, documentation can be produced in digital format.
